A CARTOON INTRODUCTION TO
ENTREPRENEURSHIP, STRATEGY AND INNOVATION
I am currently working on a “Cartoon Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Innovation” that
employs the Socratic dialogue method. This approach, characterised by a question-and-answer
format, fosters critical thinking and active learning. By integrating this technique into a cartoon
format, complex concepts in entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation can be made accessible and
enjoyable for a diverse audience.
Cartoons, with their visual appeal and simplicity, can break down intricate ideas into digestible
segments. When combined with the Socratic method, they encourage learners to explore and
understand concepts through guided questioning. This approach not only makes learning interactive
but also stimulates curiosity and deeper comprehension. For instance, a cartoon character could pose
questions about market dynamics, prompting learners to think critically about supply and demand,
competition, and customer needs. Moreover, this method can demystify the entrepreneurial process,
making it relatable and less intimidating. Characters in the cartoon can navigate real-world scenarios,
addressing common challenges and strategic decisions entrepreneurs face. Through dialogue,
learners can witness the application of theoretical concepts in practical situations, enhancing their
problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
Innovation, a key component of entrepreneurship, can also be effectively illustrated through this
medium. By showcasing creative problem-solving and innovative thinking in a cartoon format,
learners can grasp the importance of innovation in driving business success. The Socratic dialogue
can guide them through the process of ideation, prototyping, and implementation, making these
abstract concepts tangible and engaging
