DECISION SERVICES FOR ZERO-CARBON INDUSTRIAL HEAT
HEATSHIFT is an initiative focused on accelerating the transition of heavy industry toward zero-carbon industrial heat. Many sectors, such as cement, steel, aluminum, glass, pulp & paper, ceramics, and chemicals, rely on high-temperature processes operating at several hundred to more than one thousand degrees Celsius. These processes are still largely powered by fossil fuels and represent one of the most difficult challenges in industrial decarbonization. At the same time, pressure is increasing due to climate targets, carbon pricing, energy costs, and sustainability commitments. Industries know they need to act, but choosing the right pathway is difficult. There is no universal solution.
Possible alternatives to decarbonize the aforementioned sectors include electrification, plasma technologies, hydrogen combustion, ammonia combustion, biofuels, or hybrid concepts. Every pathway has different technical requirements, infrastructure needs, operational implications, and impacts on costs and product quality. HEATSHIFT addresses these challenges by providing technology-neutral decision services based on advanced engineering simulations, multi-physics modeling, and techno-economic analysis. We don’t push plasma, hydrogen, or any fuel. We offer clarity.
Instead of relying on trial and error, companies can virtually evaluate and compare different scenarios before making large investments or implementing physical changes in their plants. HEATSHIFT helps answer key questions such as: Which technology works best here? How much power is needed? What happens to product quality? What is the real CO₂ reduction? What is the expected payback? Our goal is to transform uncertainty into bankable decisions, helping industries move from fossil fire to clean heat safely, efficiently, and economically.
HEATSHIFT is designed as a service-oriented approach because this is how the industry already operates. We are capital-light, service-driven, and aligned with how industry actually buys. By combining engineering expertise with economic insight, HEATSHIFT aims to become a trusted partner for the decarbonization of high-temperature industrial processes and help design the future of industrial heat.
